March 26th 2025
For nearly two decades, Doxa enthusiasts have eagerly awaited the return of a GMT-equipped model. Since the brand’s last GMT watch—the limited-edition SUB 750T GMT from 2006—fans have been requesting a revival. Now, in 2025, Doxa has answered the call with the SUB 250T GMT, an expansion of the midsize diver that adds a GMT complication, increased water resistance, and a striking array of nine dial color options.

A New Take on a Classic Design
Unlike its predecessor, the burly SUB 750T GMT, the new Doxa SUB 250T GMT takes its foundation from the midsize SUB 200T. However, this is more than just a GMT-equipped version of last year’s three-hander. Crafted from 316L stainless steel, the case measures 40mm in diameter, 10.85mm thick, with an 18mm lug width and a lug-to-lug of 42.9mm. The case size is slightly larger than the standard time-and-date model, allowing for an increased water resistance of 250 meters.
Externally, the SUB 250T GMT maintains the signature Doxa design, including a screw-down crown, solid caseback, and sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating. Despite the GMT function, the watch features the same unidirectional dual-scale bezel as Doxa’s classic dive watches, reinforcing its dive-first, GMT-second identity.

A GMT Function Tailored for Divers
The magic happens beneath the crystal. While the dial layout is familiar to Doxa fans—featuring an oversized minute hand and a date window at 3 o’clock—the addition of a 24-hour chapter ring and a split-color fourth GMT hand enables tracking of a second time zone.

Nine Striking Colorways
The SUB 250T GMT debuts in nine different colors, including a new vintage-inspired gradient option. The lineup includes Doxa staples such as:
- Professional (Orange)
- Searambler (Silver)
- Sharkhunter (Black)
- Caribbean (Navy Blue)
- Divingstar (Yellow)
- Aquamarine (Turquoise)
- Whitepearl (White)
- Sea Emerald (Green)
- Vintage Sharkhunter (Brown-to-Black Gradient)
While most dials retain Doxa’s iconic matte finish, the Searambler, Sea Emerald, and vintage-themed Sharkhunter feature sunburst-finished dials. Notably, the vintage Sharkhunter has a unique arrow-shaped GMT hand with a red tip, setting it apart from the rest.
Swiss Movement and Build Quality
While Doxa is tight-lipped about the exact movement, it’s almost certainly powered by the Sellita SW330 automatic caliber, offering a 4Hz (28,800vph) frequency and a 50-hour power reserve. This movement provides an independently adjustable 24-hour GMT hand, making it a functional and reliable travel companion.

Bracelet and Strap Options
Buyers can choose between a stainless steel beads-of-rice bracelet or a color-matched FKM rubber strap. Most models come with straps in their respective dial colors, except the Searambler and vintage Sharkhunter, which are paired with black rubber straps. Both options feature Doxa’s folding clasp with a micro-adjustment system for added comfort.
A Dive-First GMT Watch with a Cult Following
Rather than creating a dedicated travel watch, Doxa has stayed true to its diving heritage while integrating a GMT function. This approach ensures that the SUB 250T GMT remains a true dive watch with added versatility.
Priced at $2,450 on a rubber strap and $2,490 on the stainless steel bracelet, the Doxa SUB 250T GMT positions itself perfectly between the brand’s three-hand divers and chronographs. Given the overwhelming demand for a GMT-equipped Doxa, this release is sure to make waves among enthusiasts.
125-Word Version
Doxa SUB 250T GMT: A Long-Awaited GMT Diver
For the first time since 2006, Doxa has released a GMT dive watch, the SUB 250T GMT, offering a 40mm stainless steel case, 250m water resistance, and nine dial colors. Built on the midsize SUB 200T platform, it features a screw-down crown, sapphire crystal, and a dual-time GMT function.

Available with a stainless steel bracelet ($2,490) or an FKM rubber strap ($2,450), the SUB 250T GMT is a dive-first tool watch with the added bonus of dual-time functionality, making it a perfect choice for adventure-seekers and collectors alike.
